We rely on cash donations to purchase food for our clients. There is a greater need than ever to help Dedham families, so we ask for your generous donation.

We are supported by donors who provide resources to make a difference in the community. Local businesses like Federal Realty Investments, Costco, BJs, Trader Joe’s, Shaws, Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, and many more regularly donate in kind. The generosity of our contributors enables us to provide a wide range of food including fresh produce, milk, and eggs. We also provide meat, fish, chicken, vegetables, berries, canned meats, canned vegetables, and other staples a family might need including cleaning supplies and toilet paper.

Here’s how to get started:

• Gather your friends, family, and colleagues who are interested in helping the Dedham Food Pantry
• Create a fundraiser to help raise funds and awareness.

*As people responsible for fundraising for non-profit organizations, we often get “analysis paralysis,” the inability to decide on a course of action.  We spend so much time reviewing great new fundraising strategies, attending conferences, reading development books, and seeking advice from colleagues that we have trouble launching a new fundraising initiative.

We purchase most of our food from the Greater Boston Food Bank where $1 buys about $3 worth of food. Cash donations are always appreciated and go far. There are some items, however, that we are not able to purchase and which we depend on from your donations. In addition, donated foods provide our clients with different brands and flavors and they appreciate the variety!
