Dedham Food Pantry Trivia Night to be held March 9th!
The 9th Annual Trivia Night fundraiser to support the Dedham Food Pantry will take place Friday, March 9, 2018 at the American Legion Hall. Last year, this event raised over $12,000 – our goal this year is to beat that number!
The Trivia Night committee is accepting sponsorships, prizes and donations from local businesses. Contributing businesses are recognized with signage and an announcement at the event, and in the local newspaper.
This event is one of the three largest fundraisers for the Dedham Food Pantry, which serves approximately 325 families, representing 1,671 residents of our community. The Food Pantry distributes more than 11,000 bags of groceries annually, relying exclusively on donations and the efforts of close to 200 volunteers. The Food Pantry receives no government funding. The Food Pantry is open 52 weeks a year to ensure access to families and senior citizens facing food shortages. The generosity of the community, and the success of the Trivia Night fundraiser have allowed the Food Pantry to expand its grocery offerings to include more healthy options, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and eggs.
The Trivia Night sells out every year. It fills the venue with over 150 attendees. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. In between trivia, there is a raffle and auction for fabulous prizes. Tables of 10 are $350. Individual tickets may also be purchased for $35 each. Purchase tickets here!
