The Dedham Food Pantry was established in 1990 with the goal of ending hunger in Dedham. We are a 501(c)(3) funded by donors and run by volunteers. Though the economy has improved during the last few years, many in Dedham still find it difficult to get by with limited means.
Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) funded by entirely by donations both monetary and in-kind, our Federal Taxpayer ID is: 04-3098455. To make a tax-deductible donation, click here.
While we purchase food in bulk at the Boston Food Bank, we rely on local businesses for weekly in-kind donations such as frozen foods, fruits, and breads from Costco, BJs, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Shaws, Stop and Shop, Wegmans, Target, etc. Please support these establishments as they are an integral part of our mission.

We provide assistance to the local Dedham community represented by families, children and senior citizens. There is a required intake process for new or existing clients to make sure they are qualified to receive our assistance.
Individuals and families who shop weekly get an estimated $80-$110 worth of food to include: meat, fruits, vegetables, bread, milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, etc.
If you are interested in volunteering as a group, please email us so we can coordinate and get your group on the schedule.
