WHO WE ARE
The Dedham Food Pantry was established in 1990 with the goal of ending hunger in Dedham. We are a 501(c)(3) funded by donors and run entirely by volunteers. Though the economy has improved during the last few years, many in Dedham still find it difficult to get by with limited means.
To assist Dedham residents unable to qualify for government programs with food assistance. Our clients are adults, children, senior citizens with limited or no income, families who cannot qualify for food stamps, those recently unemployed, or folks who simply have fallen on hard times. For them the Dedham Food Pantry is their final safety net when all options have run out, and have no food on the table.
In an average year, the Dedham Food Pantry distributes over 12,000 bags of food annually to 296 Dedham households.
It may be impossible to end hunger but you can make a difference by getting involved as a donor, a volunteer, a supporter to those who fundraise for us, or a food drive organizer. Consider helping us end hunger in Dedham.
