The Dedham Food Pantry was established in 1990 with the goal of ending hunger in Dedham.  We are a 501(c)(3) funded by donors and run entirely by volunteers. Though the economy has improved during the last few years, many in Dedham still find it difficult to get by with limited means.

To provide food to Dedham residents unable to qualify for government assistance. Our clients are senior citizens with limited income, head of households who cannot not qualify for food stamps, the unemployed, people who had their work hours cut, or simply separation by divorce. For these people, we are their final safety net when they have no options and need to put food on the table.

In 2014, the Dedham Food Pantry distributed over 10,368 bags of food annually to 296 Dedham households. Our clients are families with children, the disabled, and senior citizens who may have fallen into hard times due to loss of employment, reduction in benefits, or just living on a fixed income.

It may be impossible to end hunger but you can make a difference by getting involved as a donor or volunteer. Help us today.
